Hook:
16-8 Nymph
Thread: 8/0 Black or Brown
Tail: Several Pheasant Tail Fibers
Body: Pheasant Tail Fibers
Rib: Fine or Medium Copper Wire
Thorax: Peacock Herl.
Wings: Pheasant Tail Fibers
Wingcase: Pheasant Tail Fibers

- Get a Pheasant tail handy, because you'll need a lot of it for this fly.
- Tie in several fibers of pheasant tail at the beginning of the hook for tail. Tail should be approximately half the length of the hook shank.
- Tie in pheasant tail for body, with tips extended back over tail.
- Tie in your copper ribbing, and then wrap the pheasant tail forward, just past the half way point of the hook shank.
- Next wrap the copper ribbing forward over the pheasant tail body.
- Tie in more pheasant tail for the wingcase, with tips extending back over body.
- Tie in 2 or 3 strands of peacock herl for thorax and wrap forward, leaving enough room to tie in wings and
wingcase.
- Tie in several pheasant tail fibers on either side for wings. Tips should extend to end of thorax.
- Pull wingcase forward and tie off, and whip finish.
