Fly Fishing - Fly Patterns

Golden Stone

Hook: #6-14 Tiemco 200R
Thread: 6/0 Tan
Tail: Golden Goose Biots
Body: Dubbing
Rib: V-Rib
Wingcase: Turkey Quill Fibers
Antennae: Golden Goose Biots

Tying Instructions:

  • Start by tying in the goose biots for the tail. Length should be about half the shank.
  • Tie in ribbing material then dub a thick but tapered body halfway up the hook.
  • Tie in the first wingcase, second and third wingcase but in between them make a wrap or 2 of dubbing. Rib the fly.
  • Tie in the antennae and whip finish.
