Luisa Steele
Luisa Steele the other half of this team is Event Planner / Owner of the A Thyme for Class Culinary Studios and Consulting, Mission, British Columbia. Born and raised in Vancouver, Luisa discovered her hospitality and tourism career aspirations early in life. She majored in the field in high school and took tourism and marketing courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Luisa brings to A Thyme for Class her ability to deal with the most discerning clients. She believes in high standards and strives to ensure that all guests receive nothing less. Luisa enjoys the challenge of customizing innovative menus and producing memorable events with professionalism and sincerity. Her goal is to ensure each guest has a pleasant and memorable experience.
Throughout her career, Luisa has strengthened and refined her organizational skills. She takes great pride and personal responsibility in all her work. Luisa has excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, a creative flair and a strong eye for detail. As well as working well under pressure, she is very conscientious in setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Luisa specializes in organizing hotel rooms, meeting spaces, and travel arrangements for group bookings. No event is too large or too small; Luisa has organized events for 2 and up to 600 people. She also enjoys herb garden planting & design. Her career spans over ten years of dedicated service in the hospitality industry and she has worked in catering and banquet departments for some of Vancouver’s premier hotels such as, Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, Vancouver, The Metropolitan Hotel, Vancouver and Coast Hotels and Resorts, Vancouver.
When Luisa knew that Mike was the man that she wanted to share her life with, they moved to Mission to be closer to family. Luisa is excited about being in the Fraser Valley, where she and Mike have begun their life together. All they need now is to. …just add guests. She hopes to share her passion for community spirit, culinary tourism and outstanding customer service with you.
